The Knott fixed eye trailer brake cable is identified by the metal loop / eye on the end of the cable. They are designed to plug in to the brake cable cover plates, which are fixed to the backplate. The lengths of the brake cables are the measurements taken from the outer black casing of the cable and not the length in its entirety.
