Alko 161S 1600kg Delta Coupling pressed steel 50mm. Erde/Daxara commonly use this coupling on braked trailers sticking to their small light weight theme throughout their trailer line up, caravans and a selection of Brian James trailers also use this coupling.
This coupling is the lightest available coupling on the market., due to this it can be found on some plant equipment to keep their weight below 750kg such as a few wood chippers manufactured by Timber Wolf.
This is helpful for people how obtained their license between 1997 – 2013 allowing them to drive a Transit while towing Plant Equipment to different work sites.
This coupling is capable of towing weights from 950kg – 1600kg.
AL-KO have implemented the following features into their coupling:
– A break away cable is shipped with every coupling to ensure that if the coupling was to unhitch during transit then the brakes will be applied to bring the trailer to a stop.
– AL-KO have installed a ratchet handbrake to ensure that the handbrake doesn’t become un applied.
– The AL-KO manufactured 50mm pressed head has a built in indicator. This will visually represent whether the coupling is correctly hitched to your vehicle.
– hydraulically dampened to reduce any excess banging during transit.
– This coupling has mounting holes to fit a jockey wheel bracket.
