X series Trailer suspension

X Series suspension units that we stock have a one piece bearing that has the upgrade option to a stainless steel triple sealed bearing, these stop water ingress, making them less likely to corrode. These units are ideal for boat trailers.

X series Trailer suspension have Knott 200x50mm brakes fitted. One piece sealed bearings don’t need the maintenance that is required with traditional taper roller bearings.

Once fitted the bearings need to be checked periodically for play or grinding this can be done without even removing the wheel by shaking the wheel and rotating the wheel.

If problems are then found, the bearing needs replacing. If the hub is removed, the hub nut should be replaced.

Please Note – The hub nut must be tightened to 280Nm.
